Such an inhuman incident took place on Ambari-Babuganj Bazar road of Hizla union of Chitalmari upazila of Bagerhat.
The rescued father was identified as Azizul (90) of Halda village in Jiban Nagar area in Satkhira district. His son. His Abul left him alone on the street.
On Saturday (February 6), sometime in the middle of the night, his son left his father on the side of the road. The locals informed the police station after seeing the old father naked on the side of the road around 8 am on Saturday.
Police, with the help of a local UP member, rescued the elderly father and admitted him to the Chitalmari Upazila Health Complex.
Md. Badsha Sheikh a UP Member of Ward no 6 of Hijla Union said, ” Seeing the old man, I put him the necessary winter clothes and informed the Chitalmari police station. Upon hearing the news, the police rescued him and admitted him to the Chitalmari Upazila Health Complex. “
Chitalmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mir Shariful Haque said, “After hearing the news, the police rescued the elderly father from the spot and admitted him to Chitalmari Upazila Health Complex. Chitalmari Police are investigating about him.”
