CAAB issues new instructions to passengers entering Bangladesh from Uk

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has issued new instructions for Passengers coming to Bangladesh from UK.

The instructions were released from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Satueday.

In view of the emerging COVID-19 situation in UK, in addition to the instructions in regard to the carriage of ‘PCR based COVID-19 certificate’, the following procedures shall apply to the passengers coming to Bangladesh from UK (directly or through any international points):

(a) Passengers will be sent to the government selected Hotel for Mandatory Institutional Quarantine for 07 (seven) days. All expenses of the stay in the Hotel shall be borne by the passenger. Those who are unable to bear the expenses will be institutionally quarantined in the selected center under government arrangement.

(b) Sample will be collected for the COVID-19 PCR test after 07 (Seven) days and the passenger will be sent to ‘home quarantine’ to complete the total 14 (fourteen) days quarantine if the COVID-19 PCR test result is Negative.

(c) If the COVID-19 PCR test result is Positive, the passenger will be sent to the government selected hospital for isolation. All expenses of the hospital shall be borne by the passenger.

This circular will come into effect from 0001 BST of 25 January 2021 and will remain effective until further notice. Previous circular shall be considered cancelled from the date & time this circular comes into effect.
