The Bangabandhu Winter Cup 24-Team Short Pitch Cricket Tournament Season 5 has been inaugurated at Chitalmari in Bagerhat on Sunday.
Upazila Awami League President Md Babul Hossain Khan inaugurated the cricket tournament on Sunday (January 10) at 9 pm at the Government SM Model High School premises organized by Chitalmari Youth Star.
Among others, Upazila Awami League Joint-General Secretary Sheikh Keramat Ali, Upazila Awami Juba League Convener Md. Sheikh Nazrul Islam, Joint- Convener, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Md. Sheikh Mahatabuzzaman, Upazila Chhatra League President Md. Riazul Islam Riyad, General Secretary Robin Hira were present on the occasion.
The organizers of the Youth Star said, this is our small effort to keep the youth free from drugs and sports oriented. We have been organizing this for the last four years. Cricket fans from different upazilas including Chitalmari took part in the tournament.
They also said that we are grateful to those who have helped us in various ways to make this event a success.
