The 73rd anniversary of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was celebrated in Chitalmari upazila in Bagerhat district as elsewhere across the country in a festive mood.
BCL, the largest organization of the students born on the ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman carrying the flag of education, peace and progress.
The national flag and party flag were hoisted at the party office and the cake was cut by the newly elected President of Upazila Chhatra League Md. Riajul Islam Riad and General Secretary Rabin Hira with many leaders and workers of different units of Chhatra League.
Among others, the leaders and workers of the Upazila Awami League and all its allies and fraternal organizations were also present.
History of Chhatra League is history of Bengalis, history of Chhatra League is the history of independence, said the leaders in during the discussion.
They also said that BCL will walk the path in the future with the glorious tradition of fighting for the golden future, fighting against communalism and for the liberation war embracing the ideology of the Father of the Nation.
