A training program for girl students on self-defense strategy was held at Chitalmari Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Tuesday.
Attending the event as the chief guest, Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Md Mamunur Rashid inaugurated the training organized by Chitalmari Upazila Administration.
Girl Students of the ‘100 Meritorious Students’ platform participated in the training at 11 am.
One thousand students will be trained on self-defense techniques in phases, said the Upazila Administration sources.
Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Maruful Alam, the function was attended by Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral as a special guest.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jannatul Afroz Swarna, Women Vice-Chairman Sabera Kamal Swapna, Inspector of Police (Investigation) Md. Ikramul Haque and other officials and Upazila Awami League leaders were also present at the event.
