After successfully completing technical show of ‘4.48 Montrash’, Spardha: Independent Theatre Collective, is going to stage the drama at Bangladesh Mohila Samity Auditorium (BMSA) on December 18 to December 31, 2020.

Eminent theatre director and educationist Syed Jamil Ahmed designed and directed the ‘4.48 Montrash,’ said a press release.

Translated in Bangla by Shahman Moishan and Sharif Siraj from Sarah Kane’s ‘4.48 Psychosis’ is composed in a unique poetic style that abandons linear narrative to embrace a post-dramatic architecture by fusing together monologues, stream-of-consciousness, soliloquies, daily-life dialogues, and narratives addressed directly to the spectators.

Following phenomenal success with Shahidul Jahir’s ‘Jiban O Rajnoitik Bastabata’ in March 2019, Spardha completed the technical show of ‘4.48 Montrash’ on 2 December 2020 at Bangladesh Mohila Samity Auditorium.

Central to its content is depression leading to psychosis generated in a young artist because of violence she witnesses in society at large: rape, sexual assault, murder, torture unto death, religious intolerance, and chaotic uncertainty in the society.
