DNS correspondent, Sarishabari, Jamalpur: Police arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly trying to rape a woman in Jamalpur’s Sarishabari.
The rapist, Robin Miah, son of Mokaddesh of Pogaldigha, was arrested from Char Pogaldigha village of the upazila on Sunday.
According to the complaint, Robin Miah has been stalking to the neighboring woman for a long time.
On last Wednesday he broke the fence of the woman’s house and tried to rape her. When the woman shouted, Robin Mia ran away.
The next morning, the matter was reported to Robin’s family but she didn’t get any justice. Without getting any justice the woman lodged a complaint against Robin with the Sarishabari police station for trying to rape her.
Sarisabari police officer in charge Abu Mohammad Fazlul Karim said police have arrested the rapist on charges of rape attempt . A case has been filed against him.
