Rustum Ali Sarkar Smriti Kalyan Trust football match has been inaugurated for the 6th time in Mansurnagar, Kazipur.

The inaugural match was held at Majnabari High School field at 4 pm on Sunday. Golam Hossain, president of Rustum Ali Sarkar Smriti Kalyan Trust, Kamal Hossain, general secretary of Rustum Ali Sarkar Smriti Kalyan Trust, Abdur Razzak Rajmohor, chairman of Mansurnagar Union were present on the inauguration occasion.

It is learned that every year football match is organized to comomurate the memory of Rustam Ali Sarkar, who was the founding president of the Greater Chargirish Union Awami League.

It may be mentioned that the late Rustam Ali Sarkar was a very affectionate to Shaheed M Mansur Ali and faithful to Mohammad Nasim.

After being formed in 2015, the organization has been organizing various sports in the area as well as organizing regular sports for 6 years to keep the youth away from drugs and intoxicants.

UP member Sohail Sarkar, the eldest son of the late Rustam Ali Sarkar said, “My father was a devoted soul for the Awami League and this club arranges football march every year to keep his memory alive.”

It is learnt that the match is being conducted with the overall support of Rustam Ali Sarkar’s youngest son, former Central Chhatra League leader Jewel Sarkar.
